A man has been remanded in custody accused of murdering Steven McKinnon in an alleged assault on June 6.Philip Merry (28) from Pinewood Avenue, Thurmaston, appeared before Leicester Magistrates this morning.He has been charged with murder following the death of Mr McKinnon (44) from Uppingham Road, as a result of the alleged assault in Catherine Street, Belgrave, Leicester.Merry has also been charged with causing actual bodily harm to Courtney Smith Hughes on the same date.
